Can event page be set to not open in new window?

When someone clicks on an event and selects "open event page" is there anyway this can be set to open in a popup rather than a new window? It is rather awkward that it always opens a new window.

    as it is now, it will always open a new window, but with a little bit of HTML change this could be done. are you ok modifying HTML?

    it's in file /components/com_calendarplanner/views/week/tmpl/default_eventinfo.php around line 19, just change the target.
