What does this feature do? I think this would be helpful if it does what I'm hoping - so how do you add a new set and then make different songs part of that set?
What I'm needing is a way to have certain songs "grouped" together - we're using this for our church worship team and we have categories like:
Choir Songs
Praise Team Songs
Band Songs
If I could make each of these a different "set" and then assign songs to it, that would be great! If not - is there another way of doing what I'm trying to do? Using "Playlists" possibly?

0Ok, I'm going to go try again and let you know what I'm doing...
1. Yes, I'm logged in - I have the whole Music Collection area set to Registered only
2. I'd created a Playlists menu item in the backend so now I click on that link.
3. I see just "on-the-go". I click on that one and choose the Edit button.
4. I change the name to Choir Songs and enter description.
5. I click on Save Playlist Details
6. I get this error in red at the top: Error: Playlist could not be saved -

0No - just nothing happens... I've tried in Firefox 3.6 and Chrome (newest). Let me see what Safari does...
Nope. I just click and wait - and nothing seems to happen...
UPDATE: Ooh... I might have found the problem. When I right-clicked on the Save icon, only "Save Image" came up - it doesn't think it's a link...?
UPDATE 2 - sorry for the above - yes, it does show a link:
javascript:document.playlist_form.task.value='save_playlist_order';document.playlist_form.submit(); -

0I still can't get the ordering to change - and also can't get the playlist "add" feature to work right (it seems the javascript is the issue). What happens is when I have a playlist I want to add songs to, I'm assuming I click on the button to make that the "current playlist" - correct?
And then I would "add" whatever songs I want to add to that current playlist?
Well, when I click on the button to make it the current playlist, it does not do so. My "on-the-go" is still set to current so I have to start ALL over with my playlist if I want to add any songs! :silly:
As a reminder, I'm still using the Aug. 8-23-11 jw player because the 2.1.1 player does not work for me for some reason - every time I turn that on, I get the message: player will go in this paragraph (or something like that).
Help!! -

0The playlist function is working for me on your website. I like the look of your website, but the layout is messed up and hard to follow in some areas, at least in the firefox 6.0.1 in which i am viewing it in. Looks like some modules are breaking out of the template. Modules are showing out of the main content block and clear over on the right side of the screen. Also the text is all jumbled up on other places, like inside the player.
Looks like most of it is working for me. I can add songs to a playlist. Then go to the playlists, and save the on the go playlist. It then allows me to rename it. I can load this playlist or any other playlist. I can also go to a playlist and click on the little icon below the player to set that playlist as my current. Once the playlist is my current, I can then add more songs to it. After I can go back in and save the playlist for future use.
Not quite sure how the playlist song ordering works as I have never used that feature myself before. -

0greengeek - Thanks for the feedback. Are you on a Mac or PC? I'm on a Mac and also using Firefox 6.02... I see the weirdness of the text showing in the player - I'm attaching a screenshot of this - I have no idea how to fix that! It doesn't look that way in Chrome or Safari...
Also, I just tried again to re-order the playlists and nothing happens. I just tried again to make a certain playlist the "current" one and nope - it does not do it but always uses on-the-go. So I'm still unable to add songs to my playlists.
I see what you mean about the modules breaking outside the template - this is NOT happening in Chrome or Safari!! Weird again... I've mainly been using Chrome to test things since it seems to work best, but I need to figure out why it's not working right in Firefox and also why I still can't add to playlists or re-order them... -

@jackibar did you try a different browser in your Mac? is it possible that you have some add-on on FFX that can be causing some problem?
please post a link to your site.
Yes! I've tried Chrome, Safari, Firefox 3.6 and now Firefox 6.02! All do the same thing...
