Ad addon to this. I contacted jomsocial for the next error and they told me it was related to the developer. If you needed help you could contact them..

I use some component which have integration with jomsocial. When i add info from my admin this shows up in the activity stream but way too many times for some reason. It seems to add a new entry each time i hit the 'save' button. so all edits of the album in my admin give a new stream entry.... see attachment

I also noticed that when a user uploads an album it adds a correct SEF url but when I as admin through the admin side add an album it gives the non sef url? (see http://www.rapsearch.com/community.html)

As second issue with this i noticed that everything i do at the backend (administration) gets published as well!! I really dont need that as each time i hit the save button it creates a stream entry...

Can that be adjusted in some way?

Me again I also noticed that replied to the stream (comments) are not saved properly, they disappear when you move away from the page.
I contacted Jomsocial and they replied with

please ask the muscol developer to fix this, and follow the our API correctly documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/stream_api_v2#storing

I think they miss this paramater :
$act->comment_type = $command;
$act->comment_id = CActivities::COMMENT_SELF;

$act->like_type = $command;
$act->like_id = CActivities::LIKE_SELF;

I disabled it, it drove me crazy. Each time i hit the 'save' button in my admin it made a stream post. All i did at the admin side created non SEF urls in the messages. Users seems to have the right urls but again, each time they hit save it creates an entry.

So when i edit something i just saved it creates all duplicate stream messages.

Might be something you want to test
