discogs fatal error album line 112

Hello I get an error with discogs

Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in /var/customers/webs/metalszene/administrator/components/com_muscol/controllers/albums.php on line 112

Any idea?

    please check that you have entered correctly the API key. (no blank spaces, etc)

    it is the correct api key and no blank spaces etc.

    just a album from "in flames" as an example.
    but nothing works
    it shows "ok done", but nothing is listet and at the place the list should apeare the error is shown.

    I asume you are using version 2.2.0...
    have you tried teh CURL option? (can be activated on parameters)

    Discogs problem:

    If use CURL in configuration:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in administrator/components/com_muscol/controllers/albums.php on line 141

    Done clean install: Joomla 1.5.23 + MC 2.2

    The error is the same with and without curl.

    mmm... I know this sounds silly, but... are you sure the API KEY is correct?? no blank spaces, etc..?

    @stepan39 I did not change any code, I was going to to it now... probably it was a DISCOGS temporary failure..!

    @cfmoss what's your Music Collection order ID?

    The DISCOGS service does not work, still waiting for help. Access to the site sent an e-mail.

    hello,

    I've been testing this. the problem comes fro DISCOGS.

    I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM on my site right now. it says:

    HTTP request failed! 500 Client Refused

    that is what DISCOGS is returning... it's a Discogs problem..

    there's no much I can do until they fix it!!

    I tried to replace the file as you mentioned and no positive result for me. Can you help me?

    hmm.. hav eyou downloaded the latest version of MC? (just download it, and upnzip it, and copy the file /admin/controllers/albums.php into your /administrator/components/com_muscol/controllers/ folder)

    clean all your caches... (joomla and browser)

    still have the error? joomla 1.5 or 1.6?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick response!

    I followed all your instructions. Upgraded MC, saved that file in the controlers folder and cleaned the cache.

    No more error shows up when I perform the search, but also no results from discogs. It is like the search button is dead and I am not even able to click in it. Any toughts of what the problem could be?
