Yesterday I purchased pro version without jomsocial support and installed it.
I have serveral doubts on how to do what I need, that is:
My site was constructed to support a video and audio songs competition for amateurs. The site have to host audio and videos and lets visitors vote its for decide the winners (3 for songs category). This is the second year for this competition. Last year it was only for videos. For this reason, we have keept the same component as last year (hwdvideoshare) for videos. With the addition of mp3 songs, I decided to use your component for managing songs.
So the procedure could be the next and I believe this is possible with your extension:
. Users will sent mp3 files (or music files) into a fólder, using a specific form created with breezing forms component. Its necessary because we requiere to fill fields like the aceptación of the basis of the competition and another. Breezing forms uses flash upload, so, the mp3
. We will have to add these mp3 files into a gallery and display this gallery, with the option of play music, vote, and download.
. The system will save the votes. We will show in a module the most voted, most viewed …
I have a problem. When I acces to album manager for scanning a fólder and import the uploaded mp3, and try tos can a fólder, I receive this message:

How can I add a simple song? Can I add all the mp3 in a fólder?

1) the songs folder is root's /songs. the songs should go there.
2) you need to create the ARTISTS, then the ALBUMS and finally the songs. you can use just one song per album, so the album becomes pretty much the song itself.
3) the "gallery"... well this could be the SONGS SEARCH RESULTS page...!
about WARNINGS: have you SAVED the parameters on music collection? I mean, the configuration options.
in YOUR case, since you don't really seem to need to add albums with many songs, I would just CREATE and album, and create one song inside this album, and on the filepath field just type the FILENAME of the song you want. do you know what I mean?

Yes, I have understand it, I think. I will test now ...
That way I will have an album with 1 song for each participant. I think this have to work ... And it's nice system. I can create a personalized image for the cover of the album with the name of the song.
After done, I will try to give format to the page, in order it seems like a gallery. I have seen there are plugins and modules for playing the songs.
