Catchable Fatal Error

0
Since upgrading to version 1.5 I've had a number of issues and to be honest I regret the upgrade and prefer the old version. However, since ungrading, clicking on an album results in this error.

Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /home/coopster/public_html/coopsters/plugins/muscolplayers/keithplayer.php on line 110

If I disable the Keithplayer plugin the problem stops but the Musicol JW Player that it defaults to doesn't work so my perfectly good music section stopped working.

Is there a solution for this? I want to use keithplayer because it looks better and JW player has never been relkable with my website.

Also the Add to Playlist icon shows even when turned off in the backend.

Also the Title and Artist in album view no longer displays in any browser.

If no solution can I downgrade to the previous version and back to how it was before?

Hope someone has a solution please!

first of all: keithplayer does not work with 1.5, JW Player is mandatory.

    jw player is skinnable http://www.longtailvideo.com/addons/skins

about the other issues: post a link to your site and I'll take a look

just in case: if you're running a SEF engine, be sure to install the correspondant plugins for version 1.5 (take a look at our downloads area)

    best,

    Thank you Germi,

I'm sorry to lose Keithplayer because JW Player gives an error with Internet Explorer "Cannot Open Internet Site - Operation Aborted" and is why I never used it before but I like Music Collection so I will try to make the upgrade work.

I have looked at the skins for JW Player but the instructions do not say which file to edit to include the new skin. Can you tell me which file to edit please?

JW Player is now working (with Firefox and Opera) and the playlist button has now gone so it is now working properly except for IE.

However when I ask for one player for each song, there is still a player under the album image that doesn't work. How can I remove this?

The Artist and Album text has disappeared and I should be grateful if you could look and tell me what you think.

If I want to downgrade to the previous version (which I was happy with) can I do it without losing my uploaded files etc? I have a backup of the database from before the upgrade so I can restore that if necessary.

    Thanks again,

    Paul

On second thoughts, I'm having too many issues and complaints from users with v1.5 so I'm uninstalling it and reverting to the old version. Reading around the net what other users are saying I'm not alone in not being happy with the latest version and I don't have time to debug a beta version. Sorry.

    Regards
    Paul
