Remove some form fields in create album/artist?

Hello I will be using joomla 1.7 i am creating site for musicians to upload music i wanted to know if there is an option to remove some of the fields in the form for creating albums/artist?

    well this can be easily removed directly on the LAYOUT file. you will have to directly erase or comment some code, but it's really easy if you are a bit (just a bit!) familiar with HTML.

    Excuse me, I want to delete some fields from the Add Album form and Add Artist Form. I can't find the layout file that you were talking about. Please help!
