possible to import content?

Hi,

I have a pretty big database of artists in mighty extensions resources component (can export it as a csv) and would like to import that into music collection. is that anyhow possible? Namely, i'd like to know that before i purchase the component.

    not posible out of the box.. you need custom work for that... we would need to see how the CSV is constructed, and write an specific import script for you...

    This is a very important aspect for me too. It is actually the only thing preventing me from buying. Since I have many many files it would be difficult to upload them all. What I think it would be great would be the possibility to import the songs title, author, and the song number from a text file. Since I am interested in having the full album and not just separate songs, I think it would be great to just import from a text file or something.

    well, this function is not included, but this could be created as custom coding specially for you...

    since the "format" of your file would be only yours, a new script should be created from scratch to import your entire library from your text file into the database.

    can be done, but it has to be custom development work made only for you

    Thank you for your very fast reply.
    Indeed, this can be done as custom work. But also can be added as a feature to be used by all the customers. I am sure a standard format can be created. Also it can be the format of an output file made by a 3rd party software such as Tag & Rename, or not, just an idea. But since I guess that could take longer... I was wondering how much time it would take for such a feature be made for me. I am also wondering if you do all the coding work by yourself or you have help?

    hello!!

    well, the truth is that trying to find a "unified" format is actually more difficult than it may look like... everyone has their library organized in a different way (believe me, I've seen it) so to unify this won't be easy.

    that's why, for now, I don't think we'll add this as a feature (I wouldn't know how to start...). this can only be a customization, I'm afraid :)

    try to be specific if you can: tell us how are your files organized right now, and what format would have the text file to import.
