Hi, I just need to confirm that the html5 player is included if i buy the joomla 1.5 package??
I am using joomla 1.5 and need a player that will use flash or html5 to play video/audio depending on if the user is using a computer or an iPad. I want my website available to iPad users as well as computer users so the html5 player is very important to me.
Also, is it possible for the player to support streaming from a third party server like Shoutcast??
Are there instructions to set the player up for streaming? Or is there a parameter in the Plugin or maybe in the Module which lets me enter my stream URL??
Thankyou
eddieb

0hello!
1) yes, HTML5 player is included in all packages. (what you want is exactly what the player does: flash player if available, or HTML5 if you are using an iPad, iPhone, etc). all included.
2) it is possible to stream from an external server, but for that you need to know the exact URL of the external song. I mean, probably won't work with "public" stream servers like shoucast.
sumarizing: the URL of the songs can be external, but must be an URL for the player to "understand" it. it is written directly on the "song" form (you have two options: upload a file from your own, or "point" to an extenrla resource, which is what you want.)
