Using the statistics ranking module on homepage

I am wondering if it is possible to use the statistics (ranking) module on my homepage instead of the artist profile page. I want to show the top ten downloaded songs and top ten artists as two separate modules on the homepage but I receive a php error and also none of the parameters for this module show up in the backend. I thought this module had the ability to control global rankings so please let me know. Thanks

    yes of course you can...! you simply have to set the parameters right.

    the parameters don't show up? are you using the versino 2.2.1 (version of the module)?

    I only downloaded the module about a week ago so I dont see why I wouldn't have the latest version.

    Nevermind, I guess I am only running version 2.1.0 of the statistics ranking module. Where do I go to download the updated module.

    hmm. that's strange.

    you can download it in YOUR ORDERS, it's called: Statistics (Rankings and Lists)

    and it should be the version 2.2.1... let me know!

    That is what i did originally but in joomla it shows up as version 2.1.0, but i will ty again and let you know. Thanks

    Thanks, everything is working fine now. I was also wondering if there was any way to also display the artist name while displaying the top downloads globally?

    you mean, when whoing the top SONGS, to show the artist name? hmm.. this is not directly possible, would need a small change on the module's layout to retrieve and show this data.

    Okay I will mess around with it and let you know. I can probably just use the php from one of the other modules that allows you to display the artist name because I also want to have it work on the recently added and top rated albums modules as well. Thank you for the help.
