The last thread ... Germi I promise B)
I recently installed a new article slideshow in my main page.
It's Ga Articles SlideShow Module and it works fine ... just like the Random and Featured Albums Carousel alone ...
But when I activate the 2 modules together, the Random and Featured Albums Carousel disappears ! (the news slideshow is OK)
Only my hard coded title remains (previous thread ...) but no carousel
I'm lost ...
Best

0Hi Germi,
I changed the news module and install VStack News instead in my main page together with 2 Random and Featured Albums modules.
Nothing was displayed when both modules were used together. I effectively found out it was a JQuery PB...
So I installed a plugin, JQuery Includer that does the job and I disabled the "Load JQuery Library" option in all my modules. B)
Now The modules display their content but I have a new pb when they are used together ... :silly:
The Vstack News module works well alone. The 2 Random and Featured Albums work well alone.
But together I get the "jCarousel: No width/height set for items. This will cause an infinite loop. Aborting.."
If I hit CTRL F5, it's OK. But anytime I go back to my home page, the error message shows again
You can see that by yourself at :

I'm getting mad. I'd really appreciate some help
Best

0Uh ! Weird !
Yes News Funkysize is the Vstack module...
I'm using Firefox 14.0.1 and Internet Explorer 9.0.8 ...
My neighbour has IE 7 and it's the same error message ... No width/height ...
Fith Firefox, first time I validate the error message. It comes back but this time Firefox gives me an option to "avoid this page to open supplemental windows" to get rid of it. At this moment, If you look the news carousel, when it scrolls the news, the news number remains number 1, it doesn't evolve, right ?
As soon as I hit CTRL F5, everything is OK. The news number is changing according to the scrolling ...
If I go back to my home page (Accueil) then error again ...
With IE, I don't have the possibility to avoid the message, so I must kill my browser ...
Could you try again please ? I'm stucked with this issue ...
Thanks

0ok no reply thanks
I think you should develop your support team, because I feel that you're the only one Germi who's really active here ...
In this forum, I saw a lot of messages with no replies, or replies like the one I received (I cannot see what you see ... !).
I know browsers can be very "bizarre" but when you ask to 6 different friends to go to your site, they all see the same pb, and MC support can't see it, it seems very strange ...
Anyway, I changed my news module, I spent 2 more days on it, It's not as nice as the previous one but it works ... just because I can't get any real support here ...
You should think about it ... It's not some freeware, I bought MC 100 euros ! it's expensive like a commercial software from Microsoft or other ... I expect a quality support for this price and I dont' even get an answer for my problems ...
You seems to be a nice person, Germi, but I'm a little disappointed about an amateur service for a professional price package ... no personal issue with you ... -

0hello Gino,
please accept my appoligies. it's not a matter of "not supporting", it's just that it is August and the support is lower than usual :S I took some vacation days, too...
I'm trying to answer everything you ask me, but I haven't found a solution for this error you describe (the "no width/height" problem)
I'm trying adding this using CSS on the album elements but it does not seem to make a difference...
Gino, if you can provide me FTP access to the site I'll try to make a little debug on that module directly on your site (using Firefox)
also it's better if we speak directly on the email for this particular issue: joomlamusicsolutions@gmail.com -

0You can try jQuery Easy. Read the reviews you will understand how great this component is. I,m going to use it because i have the same problem.
Features:
jQuery and jQuery UI libraries can be hosted in Joomla! or called from the Google API libraries in HTTP or HTTPS (set explicit versions for proper caching),
no coding is necessary in front or back end (no need to add code into template or mess with Joomla! core),
places jQuery calls AFTER MooTools calls for perfect compatibility,
adds the noConflict code,
sets up the 'jQuery' variable to 'true' at the application level,
strips out all other jQuery, jQuery UI library calls, including the noConflict calls added by other modules or plugins,
choose jQuery UI basic styling or custom theme.
NEW: possible expert tweaks
NEW: the plugin can be enabled or disabled in specific portions of your site
NEW since v1.2.0: MooTools libraries can be tentatively disabled in the front end
NEW since v1.3.0: reporting and more options to help in solving more advanced cases
NEW: Joomla! 3.0 specific version release
