I have the latest version for Joomla 3 but the installation fails with the following message:
DateTime::__construct() [datetime.--construct]: Failed to parse time string (jerror) at position 0 (j): The timezone could not be found in the database
Have tried to download afresh then reinstall in case a file was corrupted - no difference.
An ideas please?

Apologies for the false alarm - this problem is nothing to do with Music Collection. Unfortunately, the error message doesn't give an obvious clue as to the cause of the problem since there is nothing wrong with the time/date settings.
The problem was caused by incorrect $log and $tmp path settings in the Joomla configuration file. This was as a result of migrating the test website to a new server where it is in the root - not in a folder. I had changed the database and user settings but neglected to change the path settings.
Clearly, installing any extension requires access to the /tmp folder but if the path setting in config is incorrect, installation will fail. Once I corrected the setting for $log and $tmp the problem disappeared and Music Collection installed flawlessly.

0Thanks Germi, It was rather late when I tried to install and I was certain that the problem wasn't MC but you usually have some idea and respond quickly. I just did not relate the TIME_DATE message to a path problem but this morning I checked my Joomla database settings and spotted that the path declared was incorrect. This ought to help anyone else who experiences a similar problem and thanks again for your fast response.
