Hi,

Here my questions quickly because I only started creating web radio.
1. when the CD is recorded on Itunes then how to put on music collection and to what category. (localhost) It's just to test and understand the software that I use this practice.
2. For a more substantial piece of software used for managing catalogs backend?
3. Need an encoder for broadcast on the web and if so which one?
4. "API Key" is probably provided by the organization that provides access to catalogs of music?

In advance thank you.

Bye :)

1)... well.. this can have many, many answers. one option is: copy the album folder (containing the songs) to the /songs directory of your joomla installation, and then use the folder auto-scan function to create the album automatically! do you know what I mean?
    2- what?
3 - again.. what? dont understand this question..
4 - the api key is for using the discogs api, taht's all. you may not need that.

    2. MC manages/is the web interface. It will allow you to manage all the data on your website and how you want to display it. It also allows you to play music from your website.

If you are wanting something to manage your music folder structure on the file system, and your id3 tags in your mp3 files etc, I would suggest using your favorite mp3 tagging software, or music player. A quick google search will bring up many of these applications. I use programs like jaikoz and media monkey for this. There are quite a few different good taggers out there.

    3. Nope you do not need an encoder, or to transcode the files if they are already mp3. MC uses an optional flash player that will play the mp3 files and the playlists you create within MC. This allows any browser with flash capabilities to be able to play the music.

    Hi
just a little thing ... if I want to change the css and use the solution you propose to me the albums, we can not do it locally. I have to host my site ... isn't it.idm for Joomfisch.

    Thanks

I have a new installation and am trying to get started. I copied mp3s to the songs folder. They don't show up under songs in the MC manager's songs tab. What do you mean by "use the folder auto-scan function"? Where is that?

Is there a "Getting Started" document?

    TIA
