Updating Joomla 1.5 to 2.5

Germi,

I looked the through the forum for this, but could not find any.

I have Joomla v1.5 and MC Community pro v2.3.0.
I'm updating my Joomla to v2.5.

Q1. What is the best way to update MC without having to change configurations (components, modules, plugging etc.)?
Q2. If I do it manually what files should be changed?

    Q1. there is no easy way to update without loosing configurations.. you actually would need to do a fresh install (no database data will be lost)

    Can I do the install on top of my current MC or do I have to uninstall (all or some components) it fist ?

    I don't think it will let you install on top of it... you have to uninstall it first...!
