This question has been asked before but not properly address. There is a problem with the "scan folder" feature when you upload a subfolder of files to the SONGS folder. When you enter in the path to scan, then click scan, the files in your subfolder aren't being pulled. Only the files in the main SONGs folder are being pulled. What is the cause of this and how do we fix it?
Also, where is the option to disable file downloads?

0I had same problem but I thought that was because I'm running on localhost.
I found a workaround that worked for me. Its very quirky and by no means ideal. You might be able to pull something from this for a live installation...

Basically put your sub folder in the scanner and play around with the number of "/" or "\". You might want to edit the songs folder too. In album manager>params. If your player does not play then use phpmyadmin and check paths to .mp3's are correct. -
