I have exactly the same problem. I don t have the songs tab and I can 't add albums.
I have uninstalled the component and install it again but still have the same problem.

The songs tab isn't visible until album is saved.

Correct. Now were you ever able to save any albums in the past? If not, I would suggest checking your configurations.

# Go to the administrator area of your site, and install the component using the Joomla! installer. Be sure to follow the instructions about creating folders. Theese are:

* Create the following hierachy of folder inside your IMAGES directory, on the root of you Joomla! installation
o albums
+ thumbs_40
+ thumbs_115
o artists
o album_extra
+ album_name
+ artist_name
o formats
o tags
* Create a folder named "songs" in the root your Joomla! installation

# Copy the file "cd.png", located in /components/com_muscol/ to the "formats" folder you just created in the "images" directory
# Go to Music Collection administor area and click on "Parameters" icon to set up basic configuration for the component. Be sure to do that before you start working with Music Collection
# Install and enable the plugin DEWPLAYER, included in the downloadable zip file, and algo downloadable from the downloads area for free
# ...you're DONE!

you cant save? you mean that you click on save and it does nothing?

if this is the case, try with another browser. what browser are you using?

Now I can save, that was problem with permissions. Everything is Okay now,

Sorry forgot to tell u , that also the problem came when I was using Safari. It does not work when i click save using safari , but now it works with IE.
