When i create a new Album and SONG in MC, i can see in the SQL database table for "Filename"
there is only a FILENAME. (Example: Germi-Made-Music-Album.mp3)
There is no http or source prepending it.
I am guessing this is related to the /songs/ folder setting in MC configuration.
The reason i ask is because i am making copies of my songs on an EXERNAL server.
So in the configuration for "Songs Server" i added the following URL from another domain.
The files are being copied into a SONGS folder on that domain.
Here is the issue i am running into and correct me if i am missing some info about how it should be working. I am thinking that I should still be able to LISTEN to a file because i set the correct path of where the file also exists on the secondary server. (because the copy is on external server)
If i create an album using MC and the songs go into the "/songs" folder of my joomla installation, i will have a file located there.
Once i remove that file from the SONGS folder, i can no longer play or download the file using MC
However, it is still existing as a copy in the secondary server (other domain)
Please can you explain to me a bit more, what is the "Songs Server" setting used for?

0Hi ae3d,
I think you did it the right way, I myself am struggling with this also. I have setup the external server somewhat the same as you. and yes my songs are playing fine. BUT just only on my laptop I used to set things up???? All other external PC I am trying are not playing the songs..
If I copy the direct link to the song, like I setup in external setup settings, directly in my url bar it plays fine everywhere I use a PC?? So its not my router or firewall, otherwise it wouldn't play the songs.
Does your songs also play fine when you check it in a direct link to it in you url bar?
