Hi Germi,
now i have MC running on my online site and it works great.
But i have some questions - again
1. Is it possible to remove/not display some details like price and Catalog number?
2. Maybe i found a bug - but i if set on the frontpage the view on "listview" it is not possible to click on the albums. The Album name is highlightet but i can not click on it to open the site.
3. I made the modifactions you told me in the thread some days bevor (menuitem for genre). It works perfect but only to be shure - i have to make a external link and copy the link with the correct gerne id as the link, correct?
4. On your Demo Page you have the search bars and bevor and after the search bars is text displayed. This is made in the settings (Introduction text and Introduction text 2) in this 2 textboxen i can use the plugins, is this correct?
I think that is all for the moment
Thanks a lot
Best regards,
Steffen

01 - you can do it manually quickly: file /components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/default.php : search where the info is printed and delete it. its easy
2 - I notice that too: it only happens sometimes and in some browsers. is quite random. that is because the "" html element contains a table, wich some browsers seem not to like. my suggestion: use detailed view instead, or modify the list view (components/com_muscol/views/artists/tmpl/default.php) so the "" element surrounds only the album title
3 - yes
you're welcomed

0yes thanks - i should read a little bit more
But now i have the next problem
i want the same design like on your demo page. An intro text then the search bars (but only for albums not for songs) and then text again. After this, all albums should be listet.
so i did this:
menuitem -> Search/Detailed Layout (i dont know if this is correct)
musicCollection Settings -> Show artists on MC home (yes)
musicCollection Settings -> Show song search form (no)
musicCollection Settings -> Introduction text and 2 (text)
But i see only the search bars (with song search although i say no in the settings) and the letter navigation. No artists on the MC home and no intro text :/
Is the Menuitem wrong?
Sorry for the huge amount of questions.
Best regards.

0I use the 1.5.4 for joomla 1.5 and i tried it yesterday. The edit button works for the last topic in a thread, since 2 days there is a newer version 1.5.5
now i have a question about the link on the listing view again

i looked with a friend in the default.php but we dont find a position where we can change it. Is this maybe a wrong file? -

0Hi Germi,
its me again Maybe you can help me. I will try to explain my problem.
i would like to puplish a module above your Music Collection where people can add there favorite albums.
Works all perfect but one problem. If i say in the module parameters - puplish it on the menue item where the music colltion is linked, i only see the module on the start site of MC. If i click on any album or artist the module disappears.
If i puplish the module on all pages of my homepage the module is on the artist and albums sites, too.
So i think the problem is, that the albums/artists of the music colltion are "below" the menu item where the music collections is linked. Do you know any trick to show the module in all pages of music collection without show them on all pages of the homepage?
Do you understand what i mean?
I hope so
Thanks and Greetings

0yes
you're the person number #1000000 asking me that  so one day I decided to include a wonderful trick in Music Collection so the navigation (that is, the Itemid) is never lost.
look at the parameters. just under "currency" there's the parameter "Default Itemid". all you have to do is to write the ID of the menu item holding the main link to Music Collection
cool huh?
the truth is that 98% of the problems and question by people about Music Collection can be answered with one sentence....
LOOK AT THE PARAMETERS!!!! -

0shame on me
the problem is, i saw this parameter but my joomla skills are not so good that i know that this is the solution for my problem
But with your help i improve my skills every day so maybe i can decrease my questions
Thanks for your great help, again. I can not say this enough!
Greetings
Steffen
