Germi, why is it that when I changed the layout, it always goes back to showing the search bars (except for the 1 album layout)and even if I chose the option not to show the search or just one of them, they still show up?

0oh no germi because this already happened even before i installed sh404sef. I just really like to achieve the demo look so i wanted to be exactly like it where the seach comes out first but when i tried to experiment and change it just wont change and the params for the search bars even if i set it to no show it's still there. -

0hm..I don't know why can this be happening..
Maybe I don't understand completely what you mean:
when you say that you "change the layout", you are refering to the "Artist" view, right?
by "search bars" you mean the alphabetical top bar "a B C D etc"..? or the "albums" and "songs" search forms?
I'm sorry, I have to leave in a few minuts, so I don't know if I'll be able to solve this issue right now... anyway, I'll be back tomorrow morning (now its 10pm here in Barcelona) -

0my current layout is suppose to be Artists/Detailed but when i go to front end and click on the menu where musicol is the component, it shows up the search bars. By search bars i mean the album and songs. That's all. forexample i just want the song search to appear and not the album search, it still shows both. -

I just realised this is a small bug - the "show/hide" parameters for search forms are not working, and the same with the donwload song button on the song view.
sorry for that. let mw solve it in a while, I'll build an update for MC and I'll upload to the downloads area.
as usual, I'll let you know by mail when its available
thanks for the advice!! these things tend to happen on first versions... -

0here is an error. i found it. please check. i got this error when i changed the view to Search >> songs.
Fatal error: Call to a member function getLimitBox() on a non-object in /home/directory/joomla/components/com_muscol/views/search/tmpl/songs.php on line 55
the search thing is working now. thanks for that. i will do some more testing.I know this happens during the first versions of a developed component and we all understand that we will try to help as much as possible looking for bugs etc. -

0germi here is my current setting for front-end view: com_muscol&view=artists. But the only thing that shows up is the search bar and the alphabet. no artists. if u want germi since i havent done anything on my website yet lol u want access to it as admin so u can test your component. u can try it yourself if u like so u will better understand what wrong because i'm no programmer lol. i just want to show the artists in the front end when i enter the component. -

0ok. I just checked the error you send me before, and it's a bit strange, because is working OK for me... it seems like maybe you are running a version of Joomla with something missing.
anyway, I think its a good idea to let me check your site. send me the data (admin user & pass) directly to my mail, so I can see exactly what's going on in your site.
my mail: joomlamusicsolutions@gmail.com
by the way, MC always displays artists under an alphabetical letter. if there's no letter selected, then it displays the search bars
