no, a playlist is not an album. is a collection of songs. you can add items to a playlsit only on the frontend, by clickin' on the "add to playlist" button, next to each song.

so just i want to load a playlist ... how do I know which one is which id ? that would be very helpful to have at least a list of all playlists ...

you're right, at the moment is a bit difficult to know the ID of a playlist (however, you can see it on the URL when you access a playlist)

on Music Collection 2.1, which is about to be released, a playlist manager is included, that will make this much easier!!
