Installation problems

0
I have problems after the installation.

See http://woodsclub.com/index.php/music

- When uploading a song, it looks like it has been succesfull. But I can't play it on the website, the player has been installed and is enabled. When I check the songs folder in the root of my joomla installation with chmodd 777, I see nothing there. Where has it been uploaded to?
I also tried to upload a song manually to the songs folder and at it with the filename to an album. But nothing works

- Another problem that I have is that I can only add the 'Music collection' in a new menu. I need it to be on the frontpage as a module in a new section under my current content. How do I do that?

Hope you can help out, thanks.

go to music collection parameters, and check the parameter "show online player". set it to everybody

Ok that worked. I had to change it on the menu item too.
    It's playing now.

But one question.. I can't upload the file through the Album Manager.
It looks like I can and does.. but I dont see it showing up in the songs folder.

So that means I have to upload the files manually via FTP?

    no, not necessary.

viewing that the song plays, probably the problem was just that the song was TOO BIG to upload it using the album manager.

there's a big notice, in green, on the album manager, that tells you what is your server upload limit, PER SONG. probably your song was bigger than this, that's why it didnt upload correctly.

    am I right?

if that's the case, you just need to increase that variable on your php.ini config file...

I know.. but I already changed it in the php.ini file to 100mb
The file is just a couple mb big though. Anyway.. I'll find out how
I will do it.. it's ok if i upload it through FTP.. no problem.

Any suggestion on how I can place everything on the frontpage under
my current content in a new section?

you need to make your homepage item to be a Music Collection item, there's no other way.

what you can do it actually to show your content INSIDE main page of MC, not the other way around. you can use the INTROTEXT1 field for that (look on parameters), this field allows content plugins to be rendered in there... so all you need is a content plugin that can render an entire article. do you know what I mean? this way you will achieve what you want

on JED you'll find this plugin, I used it sometimes.
