Hi I receive following problem during the installation of the compononent:

JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
JFolder::folder: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

I guess, this could have something to do with the FTP layer or the rights, but as far as I checked them, I think they should be all right... any ideas?

Thanks

oh... actually, we just faced another user with the same issue (we had never seen it before!)
now that you name it, the FTP layer makes sense...! can you disable it to install the component? please give it a try

This is so awekward: I have tried to disable it, and it didn't work either.

Then, I installed it on my testserver (a different server), where it worked. - Afterwards I mirrored it to my regular server, where it is standing now... and, surprisingly working.

But, during the installation of some modules it claimed that the XML file was not there... and yet they were installed

My admin told me, it works fine on a virtual server. My admins think it might have to do with the paths. It just happens on root servers, which might have diffferent path assotiation
