1 - you must be Super Admin to see the Parameters icon (thats a joomla secutiry issue, not MC's. in Joomla, only Super Admins can see Paramaeters . The parameter icon is in "Music Collection -> Albums"

2 - the modules are included in the distribution, but you have to install them (when you install the com_muscol_1.0.2.zip file, only the component is installed: you must also install the plyaer plg_keithplayer.zip and all the modules you want to have. Like this, we avoid to install a lot of modules that you may not use)

Ok, I've uploaded songs into the appropriate songs folder on the server. I am using JomSocial.

The whole idea is, I just want people to be able to upload and play their music through this Website as a demo for other musicians. Just snippets so they don't get taken.

I have a whole album up there for a demo. But I just don't seem to understand the procedure for getting the dewplayer or the keith player to go inside an album page. I have it active in the plugins, but how do I call it to appear on a module?

Perhaps to save your sanity and mine, should I just have you go in and do some things to get it going?

anyway, check that you have , on Parameters, the option "allow users to listen to songs online" set to "Everybody".

besides of that, remember that ONLY the admin can upload songs!

Hi, Germi, I'm just planning to buy pro version of MC component, I saw many topics about difficulties in its installation, my Joomla skills are near zero (this CMS is pretty new for me), now I'm learning Joomla video lessons, and also want to see installation process of MC. So I will know can I use it or not (and will make a decision to buy MC or not).
