Where do my images go? I tried to look for the images i have uploaded and they are not on the folders I created. Does installation of joomla in a sub-domain affects the component itself? I can't achieve the demo look.

    I am also having a problem with the image. They do not appear on the site even after I supposedly added them. This goes for album picture artist, all of them.

    It might be easier to troubleshoot If I knew where they are supposed to end up on the server.

    Images of albums should be upload on the field "FRONT SLEEVE", on the backend album form

    check that your image folders have writing permision... the atributes should be "chmod 755".

    if you post a link to your sites, I'll check them so I can see where exactly is the problem.

    cheers

    man i found the solution, it is the support that u wrote in this website. The heirarchy that u wrote here is somehow wrong when u typed it. Please changed it to this:

    * albums
    o thumbs_40
    o thumbs_115
    * artists
    * album_extra
    o album_name
    o artist_name
    * formats
    * tags
    This is the right heirarchy. Thanks germi!

    where * = main folder
    o = subfolder

    * albums
    o thumbs_40
    o thumbs_115
    * artists
    * album_extra
    o album_name
    o artist_name
    * formats
    * tags

    I'm still having problems with the images showing on the frontend.

    I've added all the right folders according to the install instructions but after uploading from the backend there is nothing in the image folders.

    I've also tried adding the images manually through ftp but still nothing.

    Am I missing a step?

    hm.. yes, probably you're missing a step.

    can you post a link to your site so I can see where the error must be?

    humm... this is a bit weird... if I try to access the albums folder directly, I got a web page... look at this:

    http://advancebass.com/images/albums/

    when I should see the list of the album images...

    I don't know what can be the cause of that.. what component is generating this page you see in the link?

    Hmm, not sure.

    Isn't that a security thing so people can't browse folders on your site?

    I tried disabling a few things but I still get redirected to the frontpage as well.

    I'll keep digging

    It seems I've managed to get the album image to work by manually uploading right to images/albums

    I may just do manual uploads instead of trying to figure out the bug. I understand it's probably a component conflict and not your application, that seems to be how joomla rolls.

    I was wondering however for sizing, are the folders thumbs_40 and thumbs_115 supposed to contain images that are 40 x 40 pixels and 115 x 115

    That should be all I need.

    yes, thumbs_40 is for 40px images and thumbs_115 for 115px.

    as you say, I think your problem images is due to some joomla configuration, not because of MC...

    maybe.. do you use some SEF re-writing system?
