Same problem here. I have over 100 artist and over 1000 tracks this is going to take me forever to have done. It's better to do it all by the front end as the artist one by one. Also the system need to read the meta data from the mp3 tracks when an artist upload a file. This program has a lot of cleaning up to do but it seems to be on the right track.

Another thing I am realizing it that the system does not link back to the user profile in jomsocial. Profile linking should be mandatory so that the artist can communicate with their fans. How in the world is the fan going to find the artist after playing tracks in an album. I can't even find most of the artist after listening to their songs, I have to go in the back end to find that artist account.

it WILL fill out the album name, AND select the artist IF the name of the artist is EXACTLY the same as the name of the folder...

but it's strange its not filling the album name... that should not be happening... :S :S

the auto ID3 tag reading for songs is not a Music Collection feature, but you are right it's something that would be great to have. we are actually working on this for our next version

backlink to the jomsocial profile is also a good idea. we'll try to add this on the next release!

when scanning songs from a folder is it not possible to take the length and put it into the database automatically? now i have to user this module 'mp3browser' to find out the actual length of the song and fill it in by hand.
