when does this happen? when you try to add a single song? or in an album?

if it's the first case: are you uploading a file and using ID3 tag reading system?

    Hi,

Seems to be working fine when I create album and add songs. However, the error occurs when I want to upload only songs. ID3 is not enabled in the backend because it generates another message error (don't remenber what exactly).

single songs should be added only with ID3...! what is the error you get with ID3 enabled?

When "ID3 tag reading if possible" is enabled there is this message in backend "magic_quotes_gpc is enabled, getID3 will not run."

    thx

oh, yes. well, you simply need to enable magic_quotes_gpc on your php.ini config file. can you do that?

Nope, I don't know how to do it... I guess it will be necessary to contact my hosting company.

Ok, the problem was corrected in php.ini file. However, when I upload a song (only song) in the frontend, the component seems to create album too! And obviously there is an error message because there is no image uploaded for album.

I don't want to create album in the frontend at the moment, just allow me and other people to upload songs. At the moment I can't do it.

Here is the link of my site http://www.backingtrack.co
Can you create a user account and try to upload a song, then you will see what is going wrong. I'm very confused at the moment, coz it's not easy to have the component to work properly.

    Thanks for looking

    hello!
yes please make an account so I can take a look.
however, YES, an album will always be created to contain the song, even if you only upload 1 song.
but let me take a look at that image error, I want to see what's wrong! :)

ok, I see the error. it's a little system warning because it tries to create a thubmail "out of nothing". to solve this warning message please download the file attached here, unzip it and copy it into:
    /components/com_muscol/helpers/graphics.php (replace the current one)

can you confirm this solves the warning problem?
