Code to load module again?

Hey

what is the code you input in the parameters to load a module?

I thought it was this

{loadposition:left}

But it doesn't seem to be working.

Also this is a great component but TERRIBLE support. The code I am after is such a common thing I would have thought and it is not even displayed in any support section or forum. Disgraceful.

    hello

my friends, please have a little more patience. we are very busy these days and lots of topics to answer.

in any case, please accept my appologise for the delay

    the code is:

    {loadposition left}

(no ":" just a blank space)

@scarfece did you have other topics you'd like to be answered?

    best,
    Germi

I mean, I answered the subjects because the support is scarce ... For me anyway...
I asked I do not know how many questions and I had just one answer, which I have resolved myself.
It date to 5 days since I asked for help here:
    http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/forum/music-collection-extensions/module-muscol-recently-added-songs-display.html#10049

Your component is GREAT, it's a pity.

I just answered that one. I'm sorry, again. usually our support is much faster, but these last 2 weeks the work accumulation has been huge, and right now I'm alone answering all the topics.. that's why!

I understand your frustration :S but all I can say is SORRY again and, believe me, usually we are far more efficient! ;)

if you have more topics unanswered, maybe you can send me an email and post a link to each of the topics. I'll answer all of them one by one.

    best,
    Germi

Yeah thanks the new code worked.

I completely understand that you have a lot of work built up and it takes a while, however this was the second incident that had a delayed response.

Now I would not mind in the slightest for the delays... however you charge people for the component, and when you do this people expect fast responses. Now I can name off the top of my head a list of extensions that are free that have amazing support. Yet you charge 39 Euro for your basic package and the support is pretty dire.

It really is a shame because this is a fantastic component and you obviously put a lot of time into this so I am sorry to have to bring this up.

One tip I would suggest is making a post about how to use that code. I mean, it seems like such a fundamental piece of code that I am not too sure why there isn't some documentation on it already.

@stockypotty I understand your position, because you are right.

all I can say is that, believe me, usually this does not happen. the last 2 or 3 weeks have been crazy for us. new projects, preparing an update for Music Collection, plus an unusual amount of questions in the forum

yes, we charge for the software because is our only way to make a living (and it's not big, believe me). other free extensions have alternative ways to generate income, believe me! nobody works for free ;) our extension is "small" (small public, very specific extension) so the only way to keep working on it is to charge for it.

of course, you expect to receive good support in exchange, and I understand in your particular case the support offered was too delayed. I appologise for that once more.

about the code: yes, you are right. However I believe there are dozens of threads on this forum talking about this, and telling how to do it! maybe you just didnt found'em...

    best,
    Germi

Yeah I mean it's just one of those things I guess. I hate complaining because I just come off as an arrogant, closed minded guy but there you go.

As for the code I previously was looking for it and I did find it in the forums when I was looking for it a few months ago. However this time around I tried my hardest to find it in the forums but couldn't. That is what made me mad enough to make a thread, as I searched for ages for that topic and went through all your support to find it.

Now you say this "However I believe there are dozens of threads on this forum talking about this, and telling how to do it"

Maybe I am not making myself clear.

Why are you making it more difficult for yourself by leaving out a vital piece of code (IMO) in any of your documentation and instead relying on people to

-wonder how to have modules display
-search the forums / or clutter up the forums by asking for it like I did

when you can simply at an article that says. If you want to add in a module, just go to parameters and put in this code.

Please can you answer me that one question which is this. Why can you not see how fundamental that piece of code is for a beginner, and why do you still not seem for the idea of having that piece of code in some kind of official document?

Listen to your customers ok. I am providing you with some market research on how you can improve your company.

    Document that piece of code!

yes, we have to work on documentation. as I said, after talking to you, the first thing we did is create an article explaining how to add the modules: http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/en/support/how-to-customize-the-homepage.html

about your question "why can you not see"... I think you are asuming something here that is not true, with all due respect :) We see it, but making a good documentation takes time, and we are also working on upgrades and things like that. but we are working on it. I don't know what else to say. meanwhile there are several support articles (on both SUPPORT and FEATURES sections) that work as a partial-guide. it's all in separate articles, yes, but soon enough we will piece all that together and add some more things and release an official guide.

and we listen to our customers... otherwise I won't be answering this thread! ;)

    thanks.
