Trying to upload a song for the first time without success. I created the artist, then the album, and then I click on Add New Song in the Album, but when I click to save, all it does is say Album Saved but with no song added. I tried a small music file (less than 275k) and it still did the same thing.
I'm using version 2.1.0 - is that the latest version? Also, how can I check the size limits on my uploads?

0hello,
the latest version is in fact 2.2.0. you should upgrade.
but, besides of that, if the file is small it does not make much sense that it does not save OK.
the limits are usually displayed as a notice... what is the value you see?
the limit is basically stablished by PHP's variable max_upload_filesize
what's its value? -

0What are the best steps to upgrade? I downloaded all the latest files, but a little confused as to which file I'm supposed to use to do so.
With regards to the file size, if your request involves me looking at code, please outline the steps to do so, because I'm a novice when it comes to where and how to look for that info. -

0hello
there's a file called com_muscol_upgrade_210_220.zip
this is the one you need to install to upgrade from 2.1.0, and then also install the plg_jwplayer_2.2.0.zip and the mod_muscol_jwplayer
fielsize: no, you don't need to look into any code.
just go to your joomla backend -> system info -> PHP information and look for that variable. it will tell you what value does it have. -

0Upload max file size is 2M. As you mentioned, that should not have been the issue with the small file I tried to upload.
Installed the 210_220 upgrade successfully; however, when I tried to upload the two plg_jwplayer_2.2.0.zip and mod_muscol_jwplayer 2.2, I got the following errors:
JInstaller::install: There is already a folder called '/home/crush/public_html/plugins/muscolplayers/jwplayer.php'. Please initially check whether:
• the Extension is already installed
• the file names in the XML file are spelled correctly
• there are no XML files listed inside the extension.xml file
• all of the files (not including XML files) are correctly listed in the extension.xml file and there are no duplicate entries
• there is an empty folder listed from a previous installation attempt
Module Install: Another module is already using directory: "/home/crush/public_html/modules/mod_muscol_jwplayer" -
