backup issues

Hi,

i would like to know that i plan 2 upload more then 2 or 3 gb of music files every month. I need 2 take regular backups. Is it possible that i may save my data on some other server & take backup of only my Joomla site which has the music software installed.
In this way my site size will decrease & will b easy + safe 2 take backup after every 15 days.

If u hav any other suggestion, plz suggest.

    do you mean to have the music located elsewhere (I mean, the actual files) and mantaining only the DB in the actual site?
    that's doable, but if you are going to use "scan" functions to import the data, then it's easier if you have it in the same server..

    yes, you can add the songs manually, no need to use the automatic scan function.
