I find it mystifying that a component as complete and sophisticated as Invoice Manager lacks simple version tracking, let alone update notification.
I don't see why I, as a subscriber, always have to (1) go to Joomla! Extension Manager to verify my installed version, and then (2) login to my JoomlaThat account to see if there's a newer version — just to ensure that I have the latest version installed. That's a whole lot of wasted time I could do without, and it can all be eliminated by providing for simple version tracking and update notification within the component itself, just like countless other Joomla! extensions.
Worse yet, even after I downloaded and installed Invoice Manager v1.3.1, Joomla! Extension Manager continues to report that the installed version is 1.3.0.
If there's an easier and more accurate way to reliably verify that I always have the latest version installed, I'm not aware of it. More importantly, this little annoyance calls into question the component's quality of code.
Thank you, and best wishes for continued success always!

0Hello Chima,
Thanks for your insight.
We are already thinking on a better way to notify new versions of our extensions. We will definitely add an in-extension notifier if a newer version is avaiblable.
However what you describe of having version 1.3.0 reported when the version installed is actually 1.3.1 is weird. I'll take a look at the installation files in case there's any failure on the version number.
This does not question the quality of code of the extesion, trust me, at most it is a failure on the (minor) version stored on Joomla, but thanks a lot for your report!
Thanks for keeping supporting Invoice Manager!-
Adedayo Adeniyimore than a month agoHi Germinal, this is 2015, any update on the in-extension notification of an update? I must agree with Chima that having to check back once a month to know there is an update is very tedious for me. Thanks in advance.

Germinal Campsmore than a month agohello Adedayo, unfortunately we haven't been able to include this "update notification in extension" the way we want just yet, but it's on our to-do list for next releases. THanks a lot for your patience..!

0Hi, Germinal!
Thank you so much for your lightning-fast response — on a Saturday, no less. That's beyond impressive.
Any idea on how I might go about rectifying the 'small version number error...' in my Joomla! v3.3.3 installation? I downloaded and reinstalled Invoice Manager v1.3.1 only this morning at roughly 3:00am US Central Time. Depending on when the fix was posted, would you recommend I try doing so again?
Thanks again, and best wishes for continued success always!
Chima.-
Germinal Campsmore than a month agoI just uploaded again when I answered the previous post :) so if you download again it should be ok...
