what you mean? the default number will work if you set the configuration field that says what format it must have..

The config field was already by default set to : [yyyy]-[num]
If i open the config view, all the fields above the
Decimal point symbol
are empty.

When i try to create a new invoice/quote and i go to the INVOICE DETAIL tab, the "Formated invoice number:" is empty.
When i filled up the other config inputs, this Formated invoice number worked.

OR

What also worked, if i manually changed the default value of: I-[yyyy]-[num] it then worked without setting the other config field.

Therefore, the default config field alone didn't worked with its default value, without any change. Is it because the default value is a placeholder in the input field ?
Anyway, I got it to work, I was just wondering why when I open the default config and saw preset to the field that it wasn't directly working.
