hook VAT id field to VMart customer field

Hello,

Invoice manager has field called VAT id: in contacts.
When new order appears from VMart I see that some customer fields are imported, but not VAT id.
It is obvious of course, because I had to create such field for VMart users.
Is there a way to hook this field to Invoice manager "VAT id" field?

    you would need to hook it up in the integration plugin.
    since this is not a default field on VM, you would need to specifically tell it to grab this field and push it into IM when creating an invoce.
    are you a coder?

    Thank you for quick response. Unfortunately I'm not a coder (((.
    I could live without hooked VAT id. I could add this info manually in IM contacts for every user, but I've found an issue....
    When the same user make another order, new contact is created (linked to the same joomla account)
    After 5 orders I have five contacts in IM with the same user.
    Please help.
