I can change in phpmyadmin but would love to do this from the invoice manager...

well what you mean..? you can do that in the CONTACTS section of invoice manager...

please send me a screenshot of what you're trying to do.

we really must be not understanding each other.. because it's a simple as going to "CONTACTS", inside invoice manager menu on the backend, and select the contact you want, to edit it.

mabe now you know what i mean

even if i type text in there its not vissable the button isnt showing propperly...

ahhh..!! ok

that's because all the names are EMPTY... you have to click on the name, but since you only have emails, you can't click.
if you can send me FTP access I'll make it so you can also click on the emails..

how is it that you have contacts with no name?

how are you creating invoices? you create them manually, or with a plugin that creates them automatically for you, from another extension?

this is how it goes:

a custummer (registred true virtuemart) makes a order true the webshop then i see the order and look for the product he need.
if i send it to him i hit send button and Invoice Manager does make the invoice.

i dont have a pluginn or whatsoever just plain joomla and virtuemart and invoicemanager.

i hope you can help me

so, you're not using our virtuemart "automatic invoice creation" plugin to create the invoices?

if you want to import CONTACT data from virtuemart, you can do it with out other plugin (it's not the same!) called "virtuemart search". have you installed this one?

If i seach pluggins to virtuemart i get this:

is it enabled in your website?

if it is, when you create new invoice and start typing on the NAME field, it will suggest you results from VIRTUEMART.

but i dont do that manualy... i have 10 invoices a day i dont want to do that manualy ( in the future there wil be hundered a day...)

i use the send button and then automaticly the invoice is created..
so im almost sure i use "automatic invoice creation" from invoice manager.

and the strage thing is why are there no username's in contacts from invoicemanager..

ok I see. then it must be some configuration of the VM that is making the name not appear directly (it's of course not normal)

If my access to your site is still valid, I will make a couple tests to solve this.

I want to simulate the same thing you do.
when you say that you "send" the order to the custmoer, what you mean (this is the moment that invoice is created, right?)

can you maybe make a couple screenshots of the process so I can understand exactly what you're doing?

I go products-> stock- > Product Name > Article status .Select status of ordered items (which I would then confirmed by customer ) -> click order number - > I get to page " order" -> there I go updating the status and I come in the screen where a screenshot is attached.
there i set the order to send and the invoice is madwe automaticly.

but.. there's no "name" in the order..! if there's no name in there, were is Invoice Manager supposed to import the name from?
it can't just make the name up... where is the customer name defined?

so that name is same as the name used by virtuemart right?

ok, I understand now. well, it's a bit strange that there's no name in VM contact database. but yes, there's the name on the user form.

what I will do is to change the plugin to import from the user database instead of the VM database.

I have just made that modification on your website. please check again, try to create a new order and see if it imports the name now

I don't know if you did somthing wrong.. it's simply strange that there's no name on VM contact, that's all.
but as I just said, I did a modification in a way that the name will be imported from the users database.
did you try this? (on a NEW order)
