Is it possible to get the "Income" that is displayed on the default summary page to show income from the Invoice Manager component (and to show the relevant calculation in the "Balance" box?
Thanks

0We have an integration between the two extensions, yes. more info here: http://www.joomlathat.com/documentation/invoice-manager/how-to-integrate-with-expense-manager
this integrations works from IM to EM, meaning that when you create an invoice in IM, you can choose to automatically generate an income entry in EM, this way you will see this in EM as well, as you're asking. -

0oh, wait a minute.
two things.
1) I notice you have already subscribed, but your invoice is incomplete and therefore is not active at the moment. please check your email invoice as we sent you an email earlier.
2) this extension plugin is only available in the Extended version of Invoice Manager (just like all other extensions available for Invoice manager, like VirtueMart, Hikashop, etc).. I notice you have the Standard version (not Extended), so you would need to actually upgrade your package if you need this. -

0OK, so the two components cost €69, but the plugin that adds the income to the expenses page costs €70...
That seems quite expensive for an add-on, albeit a very useful one. Does the plugin have an individual price?
Its unfortunate that you've priced it this way as I think its a very good component (or to components)
Thanks again

0Just for info I have no need of the eCommerce and Social plugins that come with the Extended version, and I have no objection to a back-link.
I would be interested in the "private expenses" addon, but only if the equivalent was available for Invoice Manager as well - so that both invoices and expenses were only available to the logged in user. Is that possible? -

0Well, it's not the way you're putting it.
it's not "an add on that costs 70€", the thing is that the add on only comes with the Extended Versions and it's compatible only with these extensions..
also, it's not just an add on that is included in the Extended version, it's a lot of add ons and new features for both extensions.
I understand that you "only" need this add on, but to say that the addon costs 70€ is not true..
what you can do in your case is the following: instead of having to buy the bundle package "extended" which costs 139 EUR, asuming that you only need the "standard" version of Expense Manager, you can instead have:
Expense Manager Standard: 39 EUR
Invoice Manager Extended Standard: 69 EUR
this way you will have what you are looking for. You don't need to spend 70 EUR, in this case you would only need to spend an additional 39 EUR (because you have already paid 69 EUR)
Best,-
Germinal Campsmore than a month agoin this scenario I described, I asumed you needed only the standard version of EM. if you need the Extended version of EM (which you currently don't have) then yes, you would need the Extended bundle, that would cost you the additional 70EUR you mention.

0Thanks - I don't mean to start an argument, like I said I think that the two components look very good. How you price them is for you to decide. You'll understand though that (in my scenario) the additional features of "extended" are largely pointless for me, but it seems (before your last message) that it was the only way I could get them.
Thanks for the heads up. Just one (ok, two) questions...
Are the two parts that I'm interested in (expenses <-> invoices integration, and private expenses) included in Expense Manager Standard?
The private expenses is only interesting (for me) if the Invoice Manager can function the same way, ie users restricted to their own invoices within their own account. Is that set-up possible, and if so, which versions of the two components would I need?
Thanks again

0Hello,
I understand your point, but I think you understand ours as well... if we had to create a different package for every possible add-on, it would be crazy, there would be hundreds of packs...
to answer your questions:
No. That is what I pointed on my last comment... I didn't realize you wanted private expenses. For private expenses, you need the Extended version.. the Standard version does not allow that.
Invoice are private in all cases though. In this case Invoices will be private, no matter what version you choose. -

0No need to cancel, I can internally switch the subscriptions.
I will create a new invoice for the upgrade. Which combination are you interested in, then? Let me know and I prepare the invoice.
PS: You didn't answer previous remark on your current invoice, it is incomplete, the VAT needs to be paid.. did you receive our email? -

0No problem, I'll go for the 'Extended Professional Invoice Manager + Expense Manager' and you can invoice me for the 70 euros that I was complaining about earlier! :-)-
Germinal Campsmore than a month agoNo problem! I actually used the same invoice, I just added a new item into it and a new payment, here it is: http://www.joomlathat.com/index.php?option=com_invoices&view=invoice&id=23959

0Al looking good with one slight issue - I had hoped that the payments entered in Invoice Manager would show up as Income in Expenses Manager. I have enabled the plugin and have chosen "Invoice payments". So far that hasn't happened but I do get a 1054 error message when I attempt to save some (not all) invoices
Could you tell me if there's anything else I need to do to get the payments made against invoices to show up in the "income" section of EM?
Thanks -

0Hello
I am getting a similar error with IM and EM where i expected the payment to show up as revenue - i get the following error when saving a customer payment in invoice manager
An error has occurred.
1054 Unknown column 'external_type' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_finances_items`
Please let me know if there is some setup that has not been documented?
Thanks

Germinal Campsmore than a month agothis is so weird, I was positive that this issue had been solved... aparently we fixed it, but it looks like we didn't upload the new (changed) file
I will do it now. Meanwhile, if you want to fix this, you just need to add a new field into the DB (in case you know how to do it, it will be very easy for you to fix)
ALTER TABLE `#__finances_items` ADD `external_type` varchar(255) NOT NULL ;
(be sure to replace the "#_" part with your actual table prefix)
