Hello,
I'm a little new to this so be gentle with me.
I've set up AT on a test site, created an account and added the affiliate link to another website. If I follow this link, then complete a sale on the test site, the visit appears in logs, but nothing appears in 'Conversions'.
What am I doing wrong, please?

0Hi Germinal, thanks for getting back to me.
We're using the "Affiliate Tracker for VirtueMart" plugin.
It also occurred to me that I didn't provide any version information:
System information
Installed version: 2.1.6
Latest version: 2.1.6
System plugin version: 2.0.2
Latest system plugin version: 2.0.2
Your system is up to date -

0Hi Germinal,
I think I've sorted it - the setting was 'confirmed'. I'm confident I also applied 'confirmed by shopper' to this the other day to accommodate test transactions without payment confirmation (so I didn't have to keep refunding them), but it wasn't present so I reapplied it and tested and I can see a conversion now. I also checkout out on my home computer - can you advise how the component works regarding locations? If I've already run tests from my work PC, would I expect subsequent tests to not work because I'm the same customer? If so, is suppressing this something you could implement for testing purposes? -

0One more thing - are the {affiliate_link} and {atid} tokens only available in the marketing HTML code? I want to write general instructions for people that use their own id, but I don't want the instructions to be included when they click 'copy HTML'. I was anticipating writing something in the description field, but it doesn't support HTML so I can't format it to be readable or include images. -

0Hi Germinal,
I don't want to give users access to the tokens, I want to be able to use the tokens elsewhere within the site to provide instructions for affiliates to generate their own links - some affiliates will be directing traffic to certain products and some will be directing to other products.
I want to be able to display something like:
use the following URL: www.site.com/category/subcategory?atid={atid}
and have it render as:
use the following URL: www.site.com/category/subcategory?atid=666

0yes, that's what marketing materials are for... but it only works INSIDE this area..
if you want to display this, say, in a joomla ARTICLE, then some custom coding is needed, because we would need a plugin that would "parse" that info an replace with the user's Affiliate ID... do you know what I mean? -

0Hi Germinal,
Yes, I simply hoped I could make use of the page texts within the AT configuration.
I have another usage query you might be able to help with: during testing a colleague registered themselves as an affiliate. Later (having cleared the logs and cookies), she tried to follow the link and purchase a product. During checkout (as a guest), she put the same email address. The conversion did not appear in the conversions list. Does the AT recognise her as the same person and simply not apply the conversion or is something else going on here?
Thanks for all your help with this so far. -
