ok, FOR EVERYBODY
since some of you seem to have a lot of problems with the CSS properties for this module, I've set up a new version of the module that automaticaly sets the CSS styles for you
find it here
http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/downloads/doc_details/33-random-and-featured-albums-module-charts.html?lang=en
on this new version, if you choose "automatic CSS", the module will determine for you all the sizes
with this version, the module set-up should be very quick. give it a try

0I do not understand it :S
Now it does not work again
Sometimes the module will be displayed and then not again???
What can possibly be the problem?
THANKS!
URL is:
http://freie-welle.net/rfw/musikportal/musikportal.html
There should be shown under "Fertig : )" the module? -

0ok, I see your problem must be a lot more simple: you havent defined a DEFAULT ITEMID for music collection
go to the parameters. you should write there the ID of the MENU ITEM "Musikportal". then all links will be linked to this, and you'll see the module
do you know what I mean? do you know what an Itemid is? -

0perdon e abierto otro hilo del mismo tema no habia visto este,
pero por lo que veo no hay solucion para este modulo,
pues una pena por que es bastante necesario.
yo utilizo otro pero tengo que cargar los datos manualmente.
forgiveness and open another thread with the same subject had not seen this,
but I see no solution for this module,
as a penalty for that is quite necessary.
I use one but I have to upload the data manually. -

0Yes, here is the link to the web page with the misbehaving 'featured albums' module:
http://as.fairfieldpros.com/index.php/music
Extension Manager states that I have installed version 2.2.2 of the MusCol component.
Thanks

0oops! missed that post.
I see you don't have the module in Carousel position right now, but looking at the source code I know why the problem happens, I've seen it before on Windows-based servers (like yours). it's a silly thing on file paths, because directory separation in Windows is \\ while in Linux it is /.
in any case: the really best way to get ride of this anoying thing would be that you upgrade your Music Colleciton to latest version, 2.3, which has a new thumbnail mode, CACHE, that will avoud this problem totally.
can you uprade?
sorry for the late answer!

0Hello Germi,
Thanks. I tried, but failed to install the newest component v 2.3. The Extension Manager: Install said:
Component Install: Another component is already using directory: C:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\Ampslam Development\\components\\com_muscol
Error installing component.
Your advice please.
