Ok, Thanks. I've just another question... I modified the previuos module, and it shows up artist name and album name, how can I do the same thing on this new module? Which line in the default.php have I to change? Cause I saw it and it's quite different from the old one and I've some issues modifing the code!!

mm well you have to do the same as you did on the old one:

on the file /modules/mod_muscol_recently_added/tmpl/default.php

the php code to print the artist name is

echo $album->artist_name; 

Hello, this module was necessary and it is almost like the one I created myself, but I ask germi to include a fields to exclude certain genres or formats.

example I can have a module that displays only cd, one only dvd and one that displays vinyl, digital download, blueray .. in this module I can exclude cd and dvd.

questions: is possible in the fileds genre/format/artist indicate more than one id??

How have I to write down generes IDs? I wrote IDs generes separate by comma 78,79,80,81,82,83,84,85,86 but nothing is showing up (just the module's title), so I left blank and it's working, but that's not right.. cause I don't want a genere to be showed up in this module... Am I committing any mistake in the module setting?

we're really in trouble with the duplicated reviews in home page. When we publish a new review in our box Ghost Notes or Rooster's corner it results duplicated also in the left box "Ultimi album inseriti".

the module with muliple genres is not a problem. is just that the current version supports only 1 genre. I'll let you know when new version is available

also, what problem do you have with duplicates? did this happened to you before??? kinda strange... :S

we need to manage three different box in home page for three differen type of review. I'll try to explain it better: seeing our website's home page one box is called "Ultimi Album", the second "Rooster's Corner" and the last one "Ghost Notes".
The problem is that when we placed a review for example under the box "Rooster's Corner" it is displayed not only in the box "Rooster's corner" but also in "Ultimi Album". In this case we need to show the review placed under "Rooster's corner" only in this box and not to be duplicated under "Ultimi Album". In this way we have to identic reviews showed in home page.
IS it possible to solve this problem?
Have we to wait the new version of MC in order to solve this problem?
Unfortunately it's creating a big problem for us in order to proceed with the reviews.......
Please let me know if i'm not clear in my explaination.

I think I may have an idea of what is causing this issue. question: the two modules are of the same kind?? also: how did you managed to print out the review? I mean, in the original module, it is not displayed... :S if I remember well!! :lol:

The 3 modules I said in my post are all "latest album module" and I specified the genere I needed in the module's setting.

look at JamYourself Home page When I set a new album review it's going to be showed in "ultimi albums", that's ok, cause I'm using a latest album module. I have also 2 other module, "Rooster Corner" and "Ghost Notes": those two module are of the same kind of "ultmi album"latest added album, but if I add a new album in one of these two modules it's going to be showed up also in the "Ultimi album"module. That's not right, cause if need those 2 module to show album of thier categories, but "ultimi album"has to show up all other categories album.. Do you catch what I mean?

You can't see any duplicated albums cause I set in the 2 boxes (rooster's corner and ghost notes) just "old" album and not some of the latest I published.. but that's not what I need!

but I need to see it to identify the problem!! can you let it just like it was when it didnt work fine?

now I see. but... this I think its not any error... its just the params of the modules... can you send me admin access so I check up your modules configuration?

I dont see errors here... if the album shows twice it must be because it matches both modules filters!

The mudele is working properly, it's a double match.. but what I need is that if I add an album in ghost notes or in rooster's corner it's has not to be showed in ultimi album!!!

ok now I get the whole think. Luca, this is not an error at all!!!!
I mean, it is the way it works!! if it's a recently added album, then it will show up on the recently albums module!! It does not depend on if it also appears on another (independent!) module!

there's no "cross-module" checking or anything like that... it would make no sense at all!!!!

I get that this is not an error, but what I'm asking for is if I have a module where I can set multiple generes to be showed up as latest album I have no dublicated. Example: If I have 3 mudules e 6 genere I can set first module with 1-2-3-4 generes, and the 2 others with 4 & 5, so I wouold have no duplicated reviews

I understand, then what you need is what you one day asked, a module with multiple genre filter.

as I said, this will come soon, but we have other priorities right now. meanwhile you'll have to manage to make it work with the current module...

this is NOT A PROBLEM. this is the normal behavior.

what you need is the module with multiple genre filter, I guess, that wont be available, at least, until version 2.0 is released.

if you want this module earlier, this will have to be custom work.

Consider that howewer you tell it's not a problem let me say that it's a really limit of MC for a music website as our jamyourself.
