I will admit I am a bit ignorant to all things tech. but I cannot seem to figure out how to add music to my collection. I uploaded music to my FTP and when I search the songs folder in Joomla! in Add Artists, no artists or songs come up. I am sorry if this seems like an inane question, but How do I add music?

you need to create an artist first

then, you can browse your /SONGS folder (on the root of your site, where the music has to be) using the scan folder facilitie, on the ALBUMS backend.

    you know what I mean?

let me know if it helps :)

Yeah it is still not working. I have created a new artist and an album. I am also positive that the music is in my ftp but it isn't showing anything on my Joomla!. Does it matter if I save the music as individual songs and not whole albums?

dont quite understand what you mean... :S
if you have uploaded the songs by FTP, then just click on SCAN FOLDER, on the albums view. it will show you the files and folders that it finds, and give you facilities to create albums.

have you tried the scan folder facilitie?

I myself am still very ignorant to how it works. I would suggest checking the support page. If you don't find it there, put another post out to germi. he responds pretty quick. Good luck!

@transeeker1 if you post a link to your site, I'll be able to check it and tell you what is missing ;) usually is just a bad configuration parameter, or some file path that is wrong :)
