Feature Request

I have been very pleased with the software over the past few months, however there is a big feature missing for me that I would really like to see added.

Storing customer phone numbers is crucial for me, and so far I have used directions found on this forum to manually add a field for phone and second phone to the customer information. The main downside with this approach is the following:
- After installing any updates to the invoice manager software, I have to reenter all of the coding for these fields
- I can only view and edit these fields from within the contact details page
- Unable to print phone numbers on invoices

I would like to be able to add a main phone and second phone to a customer while creating the invoice. I would also like to be able to have their phone numbers print on the invoices in the Bill To Field like the email address does.

    Hello!

yes, you need more coding to allow what you mention. on one hand, you need to "make room" for these fields on the invoice form (not only contact form), and then arrange the ajax search function so it "loads" these fields as well into the invoice.
and on the second hand, you need the template render engine to "print out" these fields on the invoice.

This requires a bit of coding. Maybe we'll add it in a future release, but in any case it would be probably just 1 field for phone number.. not 2...

    If I may make a suggestion ...

Make it possible to add fields to contacts table, which fields are then loaded into the invoice and rendered in the print out.
So: one universal function for extra contacts fields.
Then you do not have to listen to users who want special fields in the contacts table: they can make them themselves.
An example is AcyMailing where you can add fields to the subscriber table, and then use these fields in the newsletter templates.
