Hello My referral word is not working. I am wondering if it has anything to do with me using JSitemap Pro: the Joomla sitemap. Any one else ran into this problem or have any idea on how to fix it?
Thanks
Jason

0I just added the word in the referral.. and tried to touch it and it goes to 404 unless I missed something. For example www.mysite.com and the referral word is chicken. I should be able to go to www.mysite.com/chicken and get the site not a 404 page.
Thanks

0oh, I see.
The referral word is something you can use, but it's your "responsability" to make sure it points somewhere that exists.
in other words, you have to make sure the URL www.mysite.com/chicken exists. The referral word is just for "pointing to it", it will not "create" that page or do any other action.
The referral word is used to point users to "existing" pages on the website. -

0I didn't get too that i have to create the page before use the referral word. This is not so clear in your documentation. So do i have to create a new page always when user need to use the referral word? In this way i have to create many pages if always users ask to create custom link with referral word.
So it's the same when component assign a custom url automatically? -

0I have the same confusion about the referral word.
When an affiliate is created a link is created that give that affiliate credit for purchases.
Can the "referral word" also be used to give the affiliate credit for purchases?-
Germinal Campsmore than a month agosorry, I'm not sure to understand your question..
what you mean with "credit for purchases" for the affiliate?
