Can you please create separate reports to track Registered (Playlist) views Vs. Unregistered Views?
This would be really great!

0How would we go about improving this module? It would be great if on the wysiwyg side of things you could simply select whether you wanted your 'admin/overview' stats to display registered visitors vs unregistered.
Although what we're really looking for is the way to track registered users who are playing songs via the 'add to playlist / custom playlist' function rather than anything else.
I hope this makes sense? -

0mm not sure if I understand.
let me explain how the tracking works, and you'll see if it does what you need:
for every play/view (not "add to playlist": it needs to be played to actually count in the tracking) the system stores WHO does the action. so if the user is registered, this info is stored. if not registered, then this is stored too.

0Here's how I understand your current storing:
Plays from an Album (playlist) Page are recorded based on registered / unregistered but all grouped together in one central stats module.
However, it does not sound like you are breaking it down quite as far as we're interested in. We want to only make the 'add to playlist' feature available to registered users (you already have this built) and then track how many songs are being played off of custom playlists rather than registered users on our /on-demand pages.
We believe the fans will want to create their own playlists from their favorite artists & tracks so that they don't have to click around from album to album on the website at all times.
Am I helping clear up the confusion? Please let me know if you want me to explain this differently. -

0well... I understand what you say... but maybe not 100%.
I understand your users will create playlists and play them, rather than playing diretly from the album page. no problem.
the think is that the "tracking" system registeres SONG PLAYS. that is, WHEN a song is being played. it does NOT matter "WHERE is it being played from: the album page, the song page, a playlist page..." DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. do you know what I mean?
keeping track of how many times a song is played INSIDE a playlist does not make much sense to me... :S what would you want to do that? -
