Hi Germi,
I've recently upgraded to the latest version of music collection community including the JW player 2.2 module and plugin.
On the whole, all seems well however, ever since upgrading I am experiencing some very weird errors.
On some album pages (default.php) the JW module fails to load and displays only the 'Show player in a popup' message which does nothing when clicked. Also, on the pages where this error occurs, a joomla menu item 'login' fails to load in a modal window which also works on every other page including music collection pages where the JW module loads correctly.
This has had me baffled for about a week of persistent debugging, analysing and re-installing the plugins/modules but the problem still persists.
I tried removing hyphens (' - ') from the Album titles as the error seemed to be occurring on those albums after reading a post that suggested hyphens in song titles were possibly problematic. I purged all of my SEF URLs for good measure however, the problem still exists.
Just to confirm a few things - all of the albums on my site use the default.php album view. Also, all of the modules and plugins on each of the album pages are the same as far as I can see.
Please help - I'm really stuck on this and need to get this back on track as I'm due to get massive coverage and hits on the site very soon following an advert in a national music magazine.
Kind Regards,
Geraint

0Hi Germi,
Obviously, I'm more than happy to give you access to the site to look into this if necessary. In the meantime, here are some links to the album pages:
Not working -

Working -

Please let me know how to send you the details so you can access this as the site is down for maintenance at the moment.

0hello,
the problem was easy to find
on the page not working, there is at least ONE SONG that contains an APOSTROPHE on it's filename.
specifically, https://www.learnthrusong.co.uk/songs/ev-rct10/t/2-06 Nature's Health is on the Brink - Backing Track.mp3
apostrophe's on filenames cause problems.
Actually, latest version of Music Collection actually solves this! I mean, if you DOWNLOAD THE PACKAGE again and reinstall (I know the filename still says "2.2.0", but this little bug has been fixed) this will, in principle, be gone.
however, I still recommend to always use filenames with NO APOSTROPHES on them!

0Hi Germi,
I just wanted to report back that this in fact, as you no doubt expected has worked when I change the file names.
I wonder if you could refer me to the line(s) of code/files to make the amendment as opposed to having to reinstall?
I've made so many customisations that I don't want to run the risk of breaking any of them.
Thanks again!
Gez
P.S. I wonder if you have any info on the Amazon s3/Cloudfront question I posted? Cheers! :cheer:
