It's a whole other program. basically Joomla redone or an alternative to Community builder..
If you don't have either, i'd suggest community builder, i like Jomsocial but it lacks a lot of features, CB seems to be open enough for developers to keep pumping out plugins and modules for it, thats where jomsocial lacks.

Same issue here! Component is installed perfectly , i also added the plugins and installed perfectly... but when i click the add buttons for applications nothing happens........?
