well this is difficult stuff.. I mean... if you are not a programmer you wont be able to do that. I mean, I can tell you where to add the dropdown ( /components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/form.php) but this is totally useless unless you know how to fill this dropdown, how to handle it, save the results, etc.

and... there's more... because the new songs fields are added thorugh javascript..


this is really difficult... I would really say.. "forget about it"..

you beetter think on another solution, just like checking what user is uploading the song and saving it in its folder instead.

you need a great programmer for this too, but this can be done, while the dropdown option is absolutely non-recomendable

well, what i am trying to achieve is a quick way for registered users to upload their mixes, through a flash uploader, or ftp, to the songs folder. then how can i have them easily link their mix to their profile?

and is there a way to remove the albums amd leave only songs uploaded, i really have no use for the albums....

using the ALBUM / FORM layout, you have what you need: uploading mixes (various tracks) at once. no problem for that

but you cannot get ride of the album part... it is an essential part of MC as it is now.

Music col cant handle mixes. they are too big, so it stays uploading forever. How can a user upload a mix via ftp, and link it to his music col album?

well, a user CANNOT upload music by FTP... that would be SO unsafe. this is absolutely NOT reommended at all.

of course, bug files take time. if you want them to upload big files, just increase the limit of the sizes to upload on the php configi file...

but NO, the users cannot upload songs by FTP at all!!!

Ok, I got the component uploading.... Is there any way to add a progression bar to the upload page of the song, or change the uploader to fancy upload? Thanks really appreciate your support, theres no other component like this on the market....
