    hello,

first of all, this is a warning, not an error. you should turn off warning reporting on your joomla config...

and second.. this is a joomla warning, not Music Collection itself. in what page does this occur? can you post a link?

    what's your PHP version?

no, www/songs is NOT good. just LEAVE IT the way it is. it was "/songs", right? then leave it like that. you don't need to change anything, is already configured to work.

    the songs: stones.mp3

(but if you use the uploader, it will name it for you automaticaly...

    hello!

I just did. this is what I found out:
I could upload the normal package to your page, because your max upload filesize is set to 2M and the package is bigger than that.
my question is... how is it possible that you could upload it before?
did you perform some kind of manual install?

anyway, I installed a lighter version (the same version, just avoiding one heavy library) and all went ok.

it seems to be working good now... no errors, you can create menu items, etc..

    can you try?

again, my guess is that there was something strange in your previous installation and that's why things didn't work...!

Whatever you did messed some other functions up. Can we undo that? You can change the Upload max and install the whole package. Please let me know asap about restoring the site to at least where it was. Now my site is not working right. The upload button is not working now and clicking the profile tab gives the following error.

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Http_Client_Adapter_Exception' with message 'Unable to Connect to ssl://api.twitter.com:443. Error #110: Connection timed out' in /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/system/Zend/Http/Client/Adapter/Socket.php:235 Stack trace: #0 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/system/Zend/Http/Client.php(973): Zend_Http_Client_Adapter_Socket->connect('api.twitter.com', 443, true) #1 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/system/Zend/Oauth/Client.php(227): Zend_Http_Client->request() #2 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/community/twitter.php(116): Zend_Oauth_Client->request() #3 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/community/twitter.php(89): plgCommunityTwitter->_getTwitterHTML('65') #4 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/components/com_community/libraries/apps.php(94): plgCommunityTwitter->onProfileDisplay(NULL) #5 /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/components/com_community/libraries/apps.php(188): CAppPlugins->renderPlugin(Object(plgComm in /home/content/53/6305453/html/whoisfly/plugins/system/Zend/Http/Client/Adapter/Socket.php on line 235

I just uninstalled Music Collection and reinstalled it again..!!
nothing else. I did not do ANYTHING else than that!

where do you have these errors? I can't see them on your site. I can see the profile tab just fine...!

please look at the errors: they are not Music Colleciton's

the problem is "Unable to Connect to ssl://api.twitter.com"

appearently is just your twitter plugin that could not connect to twitter, nothing more... it's not a Music Collection problem..!!

look the file giving the problem: "/plugins/community/twitter.php"

where does the "upload" button fail?

not all! ;) you didn't uninstall the JomSocial plugin for MC. I just disabled it for you. it works good

but.. why did you uninstall music collection? it was working fine..! I was checking it and it was going OK!

again, the problem you were having (the last error you showed me) wasn't music collection's!

I was more concerned about the rest of the site functioning because my client was trying to use it at the time. Thank you for resolving that in a hurry. I did not have any issues until the music collection was installed but like you said something was messed up in the beginning so let's see if we can start from scratch. What do I need to do?

    no worries :)

again, last time (just after I installed it) it was working fine.. I saw no errors whatsoever.

    what to do now:

    1) you cannot install the package right now, because it weights more than 2M and your upload_max_filesize PHP var is set to 2M. so, first thing: can you increase that value? 4M will be enough. you can do this on the php.ini file
    2) after that, install the package just normally, com_muscol_2.2.0_community_pro.zip
    3) install the plugin plg_jwplayer and enable it
    4) go to Music Collection and SAVE the parameters
    5) you will need to re-create the menu item named MUSIC, because now it points to nowhere, because you uninstalled MC
    6) you are ready to go...!
    7) the plugin for JomSocial was not uninstalled - just disabled. so when you want, you can just re-enable it. if you, fore some reason, experience some problem with this plugin (you shouldn't!), just disable it temporarily.

again, I just did that before and all worked fine.

if you have any trouble, let me know.

Maria, I'm going to bed right now, it's late in here. but tomorrow morning I'll check my emails to see if I have any new post from you and you need my help

    best,
    Germi
