there is no specific status on this.. it was not on our "to-do" list. where did you see it?

I saw it mentioned in the forums several times since 2010 and it seems like a logical thing to have. Take my site for instance. I have over 2000 artists. The scroll and page method just isn't practical.

it does make sense, specially if you have so many artists, it's true.

we'll see if we can squeeze this into the new version.

I'd even be willing to hack the existing code if you can give me some idea of where to look.

In the process of working on this, I just noticed that the Album search is not working either.

I think that this is a great option and it would fit M C perfect.
