I upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.5.0
The original issues I posted here have been resolved it just took my a while to find the options on how to upload a song.
On that note it seems fairly time consuming to edit each song to upload a file. Does the system have any bulk import tooks? Where the system can scan a directory of MP3 files and just grab the data from the ID3 tag and insert into the Music Player? So we just create the arist / album and within the album we can bulk import all tracks with the names being aduto inserted with times being auto inserted as well....
Do we currenlty have to edit each song to upload a track? How do I add remote URL songs?
Anyone help would do me im usually not bad with stuff like this perhaps last nights drinking is getting to me now as I cant see any options...

0Ah great... Any idea how far this version is and when its going to be released?
I have set the URL in the box and when I view the album I can download the song, however the song wont play for me on the player. I added it to the playlist and on the right where I show the playlist this remains empty...
How do I also get the layout of this setup like the layout you have here?
Man so many questions.. hope you can help -

0songs on external servers wont work UNLESS you have a CROSSDOMAIN.XML file on the server that allows external connections (more info on the xrossdomain.xml file here: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/flashsecurity )
file for the my album template: [file name=default.zip size=3183]http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/images/fbfiles/files/default.zip[/file]
replace for the one existing in
/components/com_muscol/views/album/tmpl/default.php
IMPORTANT: this is only the structure... if you want it to look as nice as mine you'll need to work a bit on your CSS properties!! I dont send my CSS file because it is strictly adapted to THIS site, and wont fit on yours.
use at your own risk!

0Hi
Currently this one file is located on the localserver .... If I want songs to be played from another server do I enter the URL under Parameters? or when adding a song do I just type in the address as http://www.otherserver.com/mp3.mp3 ?
The first player on that page wont play the song.. but if u click on the song name then the song is played again local version as Im not sure how to setup remote server yet... -

0you just type www.otherserver.com/mp3.mp3 , do not change a thing on the parameters
ok, that problem you get is probably that the XML file is not being readed ok. please, to know what is the error, INCREASE the height of jwplayer plugin, so we can actually see what error is being printed out -

Its all working now seems as though that SEF404 was the cause of all my issues lol so this crossdomain function is now working for me
