Hi Germi,
I am working on a project for a client and REALLY want to use your component...but I've run into a bit of an issue (2 actually).
#1 - My client uses IE (against my suggesting he not) and he is experiencing an operation aborted error on the album view page.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this so that Internet Explorer doesn't spit out an error??
#2 - When viewing an album, with the song selections listed below the player, each of them play great. As soon as I click on a link to go into an individual song, I get a #2048 error. Strangely, this doesn't happen with the first song on the list, but does for all the rest.
My thought to fix is to simply remove the linking that allows a user to click through to the individual song... ??
I'd be happy to give super admin access. I assume I'm missing something simple.... itemid's or ???
One point that is noteworthy as well is that all media files are stored on a remote server (amazon web services).
If you can help mend this I would be eternally grateful! I am supposed to have this site done in 3 more weeks and there is a HUGE marketing campaign already in motion... !!!!

0#1 well, I have to know the error to be able to solve it, of course. please report it to me
#2 mm... I found error 2048 other times. are the songs that dont play located on an external server? (different from the URL holding your joomla installation?)
yes, give me the url of the site, super admin access
oh, I just read the other paragraph xD it seems like indeed you're holding files on external server. error #2048 means that the server is not allowing the flash player to stream the songs. this is solved placing a CROSSDOMAIN.XML file at the serving server that allows external connections. but if the server is not yours... :S I dont know what can be done in this case. anyway, what seems really strange to me is that you can play songs on external server some times and sometimes you can't. is that what is happening? also, it is strange to me that amazon blocks some external streaming.. does not make a lot of sense -

0I have the same problem some users work with IE and they notice this error, so I deactive it the jw player and the error disapears.
The component works perfectly but when i try to use the jw player give me the error. The plugin and the module give me the same error the InternetWealth reports to you -

0Sorry all. I should have posted this solution awhile ago... After tons of research Germi sent me an email with this answer and it worked perfectly.
-----------------
1) open /plugins/muscolplayers/jwplayer.php. on lines 96 and 118 approx you find the tag:
2) add
defer='defer'
into it, so it look like
on both lines, and check if now you get the error.
---------------
Also, as an alternative, you can try installing the 1.5.0 to 1.5.1 upgrade that was posted in the downloads section here....
Good luck!

0I don't remember if i say it but I have to deactivate the jw player cause this creates the error with IE so in this moment is disabled.

0I install again everything and I have the same error again, but this time I capture this error, the message appears in the jw module installation.
Maybe this is the reason for the error

I don't know if this is necessary but, do i have to send my number of purchase??? -

I got this error on installing the JW player, strange thing is, although you get the error, it still installs and works fine .
Yeah it works fine but only in firefox not in IE, many of my regular visitors are IE users, so that's why I need a solution to the problem with the JW Player and IE.
If you have any idea pls let me know, I tried with the two options that InterWealth told in a previous post but none of them work for me.
Pls, Germi check the plugin, cause when I deactivate this everything works fine, the cover, the data of the album etc -

0I was thinking to tell you this in the first place but I think that i was necessary.
I tried the component of the demo in IE and it works fine, but i didn't test it carefully, now I realize that the popup option doesn't work.
You mention in this post or another that there are some conflicts with swfobjects or something, do you know the components o modules that use this??? or at least what kind of components use this "object"? -

0you didnt understand me. I cannot give you taht code because it does not exist. you CANNOT make a popup show up when you load a page without clickin on a button (no browser in the world allows that). so the option is to click on a button to make it show like a popup, and this already exists
very important thing: the solution I gave (JW player plugin 1.5.2) was ONLY for the plugin. if it works, then I'll add the same solution to the MODULE, so you probably wont have the problem that you are having now -
