    hm...

just a thought: can you try to add some tags and types (using their managers) and then try to add an album?

    its strange... :S

oki, done, i have created a tag sample and type sample with the sample artist that is already there, and tried to create an album, i got the same error, and tried to create another artist but also the same error. Is there any way of fully deleting the component from the server? because how i deleted it was through joomla uninstaller and removed the component modules and plugins. and reinstalled the component and the same thing happened. just wondering thanks for the support.

i have upgraded to the latest version, and now its showing me the branding as swell, i tried to go back and download the original file under my Orders but it tells me i reached my limit?? i am trying to see what is the problem with the function so i have installed a vm and running iis7 to make sure if it is the component or something related to the server itself.

    hello

I will restart your download counter to 0, but in any case, you dont need to download it again... the file you download the first time is the same.

anyway, I realy thing the problem must be the IIS... you should use Apache!!! in any case, I attach a file.

download, unzip it and replace it for the one existing on

    /administrator/components/com_muscol/tables/album.php

and tell me if you still get the error

    best,
    Germi

The current server i have this component is on apache, the other installation i will try tonight, will be on IIS7 windows server 2008.

I have tried this file you provided me, but unfortunately it still doesn't work. Everything else seems to work except creating albums and artists.

when i use the joomla uninstaller is there any other way to see if it uninstalled all the files related to that component and on the database? so i could do a fresh install unless using joomla uninstaller and reinstall is a fresh copy of the component. thanks

all the files of the component are removed (only the component, not the modules or plugins), but the database tables and data remains. but anyway, you dont need to erase database tables.

it's weird that it still doesnt work with the new file I provided.

can you give me FTP acces and joomla acces to your site? I'll try a couple things to try to make it work if you want me to..

do you have access to a phpMyAdmin or any other mysql database manager?
can you check if the tables of music collection (those beginning by jos_muscol) have been created properly?

    is your server Apache?

yes we solved. we just uninstalled the component, then MANUALLY removed all the muscol database tables (those beginning by jos_muscol ) and then re-installed the component...

seemed like some tables had not been created correctly, but after second install everything was fine.
