0next version basically improves the data addition on the frontend, adds 1.6 compatibility, and updates the player so it doesn't causes some current problems, and also has an option for HTML5 player.
but if you have any questions or things you would like the new version to have, please don't hesitate to post. I don't garantee they will be added at all, but at least we'll look into it.
menu items of formats can be achieved as custom search menu items, but we'll try to simplify the process so it's easy to create them! -

0Ok, I have some question and suggestions:
1. Does next version of MC support joomla 1.5 or will be only for 1.6?
2. Does MC support multi genres for one band?
3. Can you make possible to seach and sorting bands by genres, counties and one custom field for example lyrical theme?
4. Does MC support Amazon S3 for song storage? For example like JomSocial external storage?
5. Will be a simple gallery for artist page?
6. Videos from albums on artist page?
7. Required fields for artist, album and song forms. (Artist name, album name, country, genre ect) Now, users can create album without artist))) I think it is not good..
8. Multiple Artists Support.
9. Update JWplayer to latest vesion
And last, and very important question - when next version will be released? -
Accepted Answer
01 - both
2 - not yet
3 - don't think so
4 - actually it does if you write the links correctly..
5 - soon
6 - soon, just as point #5
7 - yes, absolutely. that was the main purpose of the next update, actually
8 - nope, not for now. the reason is simple: what letter to highligh, in the letterbar, if you have more than one artist? how should the breadcrumbs be? and the SEF URL? I know it may look "logic" to do, but it's not as simple as it looks... it opens a lot of questions
9- yes
released in about 2 weeks hopefully
again (I've said this a loooot of times) this upgrade is not a major upgrade from the funcitonalities point of view. actually, it is a big upgrade "inside", because it adds 1.6 compatibility. in other words is one of these upgades that takes a lot of work for us, the develiopers, but does not show big new features for the end-user as yourself
the main purposes of this upgrade is: 1.6 compat, improved add artist/album pages, new jwplayer.
when all this is out and working great, then we'll move on with "NEW" features (such as image or video galleries)
hope you understand!

0Most of the big sites have multiple artist support. Though they typically don't use breadcrumbs or an artist bar. The albums typically are listed under both of the artist pages. Maybe just use the first artist name for that part? I really like the look of allmusic's new website www.allrovi.com An example of how they have multiple artists could be Queen's album The Cosmos Rocks, found at http://www.allrovi.com/music/album/the-cosmos-rocks-mw0000799730 -

0hey guys I have the first beta of new version (2.2) ready to be tested.
this versions is for JOOMLA 1.5 (I'm still packing-up the version for Joomla 1.6), along with new versions of the JWPLAYER
remember that these update has two major purposes (besides of the joomla 1.6 compatibility)
1) HTML5 player (iPad, iPhone, etc)
2) improved frontend forms (only in Community editions)
3) minor bug fixes
*Still to be done*: (bug fix) improved scan function for windows servers.
if you want to try new version for Joomla 1.5, send me an email!
put your USERNAME and your VERSION of the software
this version is a FULL package, not an upgrade package (still packing this one up). -
